12 days in Gordes with a cat
12 days with a gorgious Maine Coon in Luberon
Prunelle is indeed a beautiful cat and she obviously knows it. Everytime I wanted to take a picture, she remained still, as she was posing. As long as it did not take too long, she remained patient, her eyes closed and purring.
This 6 years old Main Coon did not look sad when her owners left. Probably quite happy Pumpkin, 2 years old, would be away too.
This young Goldendoodle plays often rather briskly, and she hates when he catches her ! She feels much safer up, lying in her cushion placed on a trunk, reachable by a ladder ! Pumpkin, a little anxious when he saw the suitcases felt relieved to be invited to jump in the car.
I met the 2 pets and their owners 2 weeks ahead the sit. Noémie & Romain live in a stoned hamlet in Gordes ( Luberon). Their home and mine are only 30 km distant.

The landscapes are fairly different in Luberon (more perched villages) and Comtat Venaissin. Mid november it was still warm : 21° in the afternoons, an unusual temperature for autumn...
During my stay Prunelle never slept on my bed at night (she much prefered Noémie's) but showed up every morning between 6 and 7 , squeaking to let me know she was hungry.
She ran all the way down to the kitchen, waiting for her bowls to be filled ! Often invisible during the day, that fluffy feline always came back around 5 in the afternoon. Time for paté and kibbles again...
I had been told I could brush her, only while she was eating. I tried, thought she enjoyed it hearing her purrs but suddenly she bit me hard... Another day, she put her paw on my foot but did not manage to free her claws stuck in my sock : New bad bite !
She did not seek cuddles, did not pay attention to the laser light i had brought. But while I was working on my computer, she loved to remain on the table, staying behind the screen, playing hide and seek, and trying to grasp my mouse with her paw.
