End of august in Paris

Summertime  in Paris with a ginger cat

This time I went alone for this short one week sit. I took the high speed train to reach Paris, a town I know by heart as I've lived there during 58 years before "emigrating" to Provence..
It took me less than 3 hours from Avignon with a TGV to reach the french capital, 700 km distant
Tigrou
was feeling a little blue coming back from a 2 months summer holiday in the country where he could wander freely, run in the fields, hunt mice and grasshoppers.

In his Parisian home Tigrou  is only allowed to watch  birds behind the windows, and  to stay on the long and narrow balcony. all around his masters' flat. He plays with toys instead of real preys !

As I'm an anxious sitter, I was quite happy to notice there was a high fence all ahead that balcony. I  hoped it would prevent Tigrou from falling  6 floors below  !

Laurence & Gérard's ginger cat was a very sociable feline. The 2 first days he was quite shy, hiding behind the sofa or under the cover of an armchair, his favorite place in the sitting room. Was he playing hide and seek ?  He left quickly the sitting room and dared to come closer to me,  showing up first in the doorway of my bedroom, to finally jump on my bed. He loved to stay there all night  .

When he was hungry (as all cats he seemed to have a clock inside his belly) Tigrou was meowing while showing me the way to the kitchen, jumping near his kibbles pot in case I would not have understood it was time to feed him !

When I left for a few hours, I always found him waiting for me behind the front door .
I guess he had heard the lift going up..More and more he came to my lap and seemed to like and trust me.

At the end of my stay, he accepted to be cuddled, taken in my arms and followed me everywhere, even when i was taking my shower !
When I was leaving for a few hours, I always found Tigrou waiting for me behind the front door . I guess he heard the lift stopping... More and more he came to my lap and seemed to trust me.
