Easter 2024 in Madrid
7 days with 2 mature spanish cats
On our arrival Leon & Frijol sniffed my pants : they probably smelled our 2 female cats ! Or our dog ? We have 3 pets at home...
Leon & Frijol looked rather sad when Julien & Ivo were ready to go away : they
stayed on their masters' suitcases, and looked neurastenic during a few hours after their departure.Frijol, the black one, played often with my shoes. He was the first to stay by my lap, loving cuddles. He was always waiting behind the front door when we came back after having done some tourism or shopping.
We were very cautious he would not run outside in the building staircase. Obviously he would have been delighted
to go out !
On the first days, Leon seemed to prefer Vincent, but both soon jumped on us
when we were watching tv and joined us often on our bed (the bedroom had no
door) enjoying staying near us when we were reading or sleeping.
When it was our turn to leave the flat, the cats behaved the same way as they did on the departure of their masters : Leon hid in Vincent's suitcase as if he was begging : please don't leave us ! We faced a very wet weather during our stay at Easter. But the last evening, when the sun managed to show up in the clouds, we could enjoy a magnificent rainbow over the town. I'm not really sure it's visible on a cell phone screen...
