Once upon 4 times...
Back again for the 4th time ! In autumn this time.
I did enjoy going back even for simple week-ends. This location is one of my favourites : I love the panoramic views from the terraces, on the village on one side, on the Luberon on the other one ; the tasty decoration indoors, the garden and the narrow pool.
I live quite close : only 50 km away. Less than one hour drive, but in october I was afraid to be out of gas on my return : huge strikes had begun in France and many gas stations were empty, as they could not be delivered !
The 3 cats (i'm not allowed to give their names these photos are the ones on THS web site) are very nice. Now 3 years old, their coulour has deepened. They were much paler when I met them the first time, à year and a half ago !
P*, the female, is beige with a black tail. She is the one who loves cuddles and sleeps often with me. The two males are more distant. S* is more fluffy than his brother, C* has a kind of striped tiger tail. All sibblings are big hunters. In autumn, probably more than in summer : in june, they were overwhelmed by the heat and slept a lot during the day. I felt honoured they recognized me instantantly everytime... A few minutes after my arrival, they showed up, sniffed me (I own 2 cats myself and a dog) and stayed around.
The female purred and came to my lap when I chose to read near the pool.
S*, the handsome fluffy male, took more time to lay down next to me while his brother, C*, once presentations made, went back to his owner's pillow in her bedroom. C* showed up again when he was hungry. They loved to stay outside during full moon nights, what I was not aware of, so I was pretty anxious not to see them when it was time to go to bed. Once fed, they went away again through a little window, used as a cat flap.
On my last sit, I faced some issues : P* & C* needed antibiotics -their noses were infected as they had scratched a lot, being biten by bugs- and an oily lotion for their ears.
It was not easy to make them swallow pills, even crushed. Some portions of "La vache qui rit" helped me a lot !
